The powerhouse producer and songwriter duo STATE, comprising Edvard Normann and Kristoffer Haugan, have firmly established themselves as a dynamic force in the global music industry. Their signature sound, a seamless blend of pop, dance, and hip-hop influences has shaped some of the most memorable tracks in recent years. STATE has been a driving force in shaping the sound of global hitmaker Alan Walker, contributing to massive tracks like Ignite, Spectre 2.0, Diamond Heart, and Last Song the focus track on his latest album. Their versatility stretches far beyond the dance world. In pop, they’ve collaborated with some of Norway’s biggest names; Peder Elias, Dagny, Delara, Madcon, Ruben, as well as international acts like Natalie Taylor and CORSAK. In hip-hop, they made a powerful mark producing multiple tracks on Jonas Benyoub’s ZeroLove EP, which earned a Norwegian Grammy. In 2025 hey’ve been on writing trips to Berlin and London, working with top-tier writers and artists. They co-produced Highasakite’s new album (currently being released), have multiple new tracks with Natalie Taylor, one in the pipeline with HUGEL, and multiple K-pop placements on the horizon, while continuing to work with Norway’s biggest stars.
