Margo Raats

Through her music, Belgian born, London-based artist Margo Raats shows  that vulnerability is strength. As a teenager, music became a safe  space for Margo; a form of escape when she went through a difficult time  at fashion school with her peers. Now, it provides catharsis, and she  hopes her music can, in turn, allow the same for others.

Studying  songwriting and production at the London BIMM Institute, Margo was  quickly spotted by an BIMM A&R, and introduced to the well-known  former BBC radio host and DJ Phil Taggart. He fell in love with her  demos and connected Margo with her management. A self-confessed music  nerd, Margo soon set to work on her debut project, creating  wholeheartedly and without restriction, involved in every part of the  process.

Standing on the precipice of the next chapter, Margo Raats is now ready to share her honest and open debut EP with the world, Paper Paradise.  "I feel like the EP is a kaleidoscope with a lot of sounds and worlds,"  she says excitedly. "I would honestly love it if people find a little  bit of themselves in it."

Before  she even released any music, Margo had already totted up sets at Barn  on The Farm (2019), 2000 Trees (2022), and this year, a support slot for  Belgian artist Berre at a sold-out show in Brussels. She's also opened  for the likes of Liam Bailey and Tom Grennon, and played the industry  festival, Vill Vill Vest in Norway, in November 2023, in addition to  having her own showcase at Soho House in London in December.

First single "I Wish I Was The Moon" from the upcoming EP is being released on January 17´th.

Belwood Music - Barn on The Farm - "Margo Raats shared songs so moving you felt almost compelled to tears even at the happiest place on Earth."
